Developing passion and skill in soccer players of all ages.

BGSA provides aspiring athletes with elite coaching and interactive training clinics in order to develop their fundamentals and creativity on the soccer field.

We're passionate about the world's greatest game.

For over 20 years, John Barata has devoted his life to the great game of soccer. Through BGSA's one-of-a-kind training programs and clinics, Coach Barata is able to inspire and develop young soccer players of all ages to bring their game to the next level.

Programs & clinics designed for athletic progression.

For young children (2-5 years old), our programs are focused on having fun and building a relationship with the soccer ball in a safe and welcoming environment. Players stay active, make friends, build confidence, develop fine-motor skills, and establish the fundamentals.

For children ages 6 to 12, our programs shift focus to more technical and tactical skills. We reinforce the fundamentals of dribbling, passing, receiving, and shooting, but also develop broader perception and awareness on the field.

For teenagers and high school athletes our training programs and residential camps help players reach their full potential on the soccer pitch. We maximize our time and efforts to get the most out of every session and teach the philosophies and skills it takes to win at all levels.

"Thank you for visiting the Beautiful Game Soccer Academy website. I am excited to share our story and help all of our athletes realize their true potential, on and off the field. Through BGSA, I am able to combine my passion for soccer with my drive to help young adults develop into happy, healthy, and successful players.

We offer programs that cater to every skill level, from novice to the aspiring college athlete. I have been coaching and developing soccer players for over 20 years, and have been fortunate to work with some of New England's best athletes. I wish all my players and their parents good luck and enjoy the Beautiful Game!"
